Yoga, Music, Creativity: The Best Wellness Workshops for Children in Paris
In Paris, more and more young parents are looking for activities shared with their children. Faced with the often hectic pace of daily life, it is becoming essential to create bubbles of connection, play and well-being. Parent-child workshops respond to this growing need: they not only make it possible to offer a quality moment for two, but also to actively contribute to the emotional, motor and sensory development of the child. At Octopia, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, these workshops were designed with a particular requirement: to offer rich, safe experiences adapted to each age group, from infants to the age of 12.
Far from simple daycares or generic activities, the workshops offered by Octopia Kidz are focused on interaction, the awakening of the senses, movement and creation. They offer families a warm and professional environment, conducive to relationships, listening and development. Here is an overview of the most popular parent-child workshops, held every week in our space.
Baby Yoga: A Fun Moment from the First Months
Baby yoga is much more than a trend: it is a real tool for connecting and supporting children's development. From 2 to 3 months, baby can participate in gentle sessions where he is guided in simple movements, accompanied by the breath and touch of the parent. At Octopia, Miniyoga sessions take place in a cozy, secure space, with a limited number of participants to maintain the privacy of the moment. The benefits of baby yoga are multiple: relief of small digestive ailments, improvement of sleep, stimulation of motor skills, emotional appeasement. But above all, it strengthens the relationship between parent and child, allowing for attentive, respectful and caring body contact. The parent, for his part, can also benefit from a moment of refocusing, far from external solicitations.
Octomusic: Awaken the Senses Through Sound and Rhythm
The Octomusic workshop, offered from 6 months, invites children and their parents to explore the world of sounds through rhythmic games, nursery rhymes, simple instruments (tambourines, bells, chimes) and active listening sequences. Sound is a direct gateway to emotion, and toddlers are particularly sensitive to it. By sharing a musical moment with their child, the parent participates in the development of auditory memory, language, sense of rhythm and attention. But above all, it creates a space for free, non-verbal expression, where we can sing, clap, dance, listen together. These workshops are rhythmic but never noisy: they aim to balance stimulation and calm. Each session ends with a calming phase, so that the children leave with peace of mind.
Artistopia: Exploring the Material and Expressing Creativity Together
The Artistopia workshops are devoted to plastic arts in all their forms: painting, clay, modeling, collage. From the age of 3, children can participate in these sessions with their parent, in a framework where freedom of expression is prioritized over the result. It is not a question here of “making pretty”, but of testing, touching, assembling, transforming, with the discreet help of a caring adult. For parents, it is a great opportunity to see their child differently, to accompany them without directing, to observe their way of thinking and creating. For children, it is a space where they feel legitimate, respected and encouraged. All workshops are adapted according to the age and motor skills of the child, and the creations can be taken home.
Workshops for all ages... and for parents too
Octopia also offers prenatal yoga sessions, postnatal yoga sessions and exchange times for young parents. The place was designed to support the whole family in its various life cycles: before, during and after birth. Future parents can thus learn about relaxing practices, body preparation, childbirth or the connection with the unborn baby. Young mothers can regain mobility and serenity after birth, while discovering tools to manage the stress and pace of the first few months.
A space designed for the quality of the relationship
All parent-child workshops are supervised by professionals trained in caring pedagogy and emotional support. The setting is warm, respectful and joyful at the same time. Groups are small in order to guarantee individualized attention and real comfort. The spaces are secure, adapted in size, bright and perfectly clean. The material used is carefully selected for its quality, durability and non-toxicity.
Why choose a parent-child workshop in Paris?
Participating in a parent-child workshop means first choosing to slow down. To get away from everyday life to settle down in a space of play, listening and co-presence. It is also an opportunity to observe your child differently, to discover him in his skills, his imagination, his emotions, while consolidating an emotional bond that is the basis of his development. In Paris, it is sometimes difficult to find places that are really focused on this relationship. Octopia was born from this desire: to offer families a place where the game is serious, where awakening is joyful, and where we can grow together, while having fun.
